THE SMOKY QUARTZ
The name quartz refers to a large group of minerals with the same chemical composition and similar physical properties. Cognac quartz - also known as smoky quartz - is a beautiful transparent variety, the color ranging from dark grey to brown. Most of the world's supply of quartz comes from Brazil. The ancient druids believed it gave a feeling of holiness with which lived the contact with the earth.
